Registration for Spring IshCon conference now open
IshCon has announced plans for two Ishmael-inspired gatherings in 2004. The first will be held this May 28 through 31st in Richmond, Indiana. The details of the second event are still being determined, but it will take place in the fall.
IshCon conferences are a coming together of those interested in exploring new visions for humanity. Inspired by Daniel Quinn's Ishmael novels, the conferences will cover topics including sustainable living, food production, population growth, politics and activism, modern culture, human relationship to the land, and community building.
The upcoming May conference schedule will include small and large group discussions, presentations by various speakers including Dr. Alan Thornhill, panel discussions, a telephone conversation with Daniel Quinn, networking activities, community building exercises, and lots of fun.
Through its activities with the online community at the IshCon.org website, organizing regional gatherings, and providing other resources to facilitate networking and personal connections, IshCon is an organization committed to helping people in search of new visions for our world to find each other. Previous IshCon events, held in 1999 and 2002, have successfully drawn participants from all over the United States.
