Several people have asked whether technology should be given up to achieve a Leaver lifestyle. You seem to say technology is not the problem in and of itself. Several books written by Jerry Mander make the case that technological inventions are not neutral, but rather that every technological device produces definite and measurable effects, good and bad, in a society. Example: The very existence of television produces centralization of power and homogenizes minds as well as limiting ones ability to distinguish between primary (real) experience and secondary (processed) experience. Do you think some technological devices will have to be abandoned, because their very existence inevitably leads to a Taker mentality?
