The Question (ID Number 154)...

    Was it inevitable that Taker Culture would emerge eventually as the single dominate lifestyle? Taker Culture has been, crushing Leaver Cultures in its path. That success makes it seem likely that it was unavoidable. What am I missing?

    ...and the response:

    When cancer invades a body, it is "extraordinarily successful in promoting and advancing itself," crushing all healthy cells in its path. Does the success of cancer make it inevitable and unavoidable? Does the success of cancer mean that it was destined to become the world's dominant life form?
