    Why are you here?

For the past ten years or so, I've simply suspected that "something isn't right" with the way I/we --humans-- live. It can't simply be about hacking out a lean-to in a capitalist storm. It's not about rejecting lifestyles or being victims of them. My head simply wasn't working the way it should if I wanted to find any sort of peace within myself or the world. After much lurching between defiance and despair, I simply reduced things to a matter of odds: What are the odds that I'm the only person on the globe who's thinking along these lines? Wendell Berry gave me hope. And after reading "Ishmael", Daniel Quinn gave me reason. And look: There are thousands of us.

Any other personal information/resources/advice/ideas to share?

Never give up. Experience several points of view. Stand up. Live.
