|Why are you here?|
I read The Story of B and it has changed the way I think about EVERYTHING. I began the Year 2000 with a desire to learn more about ecology, the environment, and our predicament as Takers. I wanted to learn more so I could stop being angry and afraid of what is happening in our world and our culture, and start doing things to help turn the tide. I want to make a difference, and I've taken to heart that I can do that with a new vision and NOT a list of "Things to do." Daniel Quinn's writing has given me hope that our world is not inevitably doomed beyond redemption. It's still scary and crazy, but I no longer feel powerless, with the knowledge I've gained from his books.

I am an artist, musician, and craftsperson. I am also a Christian, but not one of the sort who thinks that everyone ought to live the way Christians do. I believe in God and many of the teachings in the Bible...and I also believe in the teachings of B. Many Christians seem to want to limit God, though many would deny it. I don't understand people who want to put God in a box. When I read The Story of B, I got the feeling that those ideas are more what God has in mind for us.
I am currently working a 40-hour-a-week job at a sign shop, but ultimately want to have my own business as an artist...I have LOTS of artistic directions I want to go in, including jewelry making, writing, decorating, making music, sewing, and dealing in antiques. More than anything, I love to LEARN and share what I've learned with kindred spirits.
