    Why are you here?

When I was roughly 11 years old I became aware of a strange feeling that I didn't belong in my age group. It didn't make much sense to me, but I somehow felt older, ancient, and totally out of place. But I pretended to be a child, to play jacks, to study books, to try to survive the bullies on the playground, etc. after all that's all I knew how to do. I've always been an observer and lover of nature's processes, the weather, etc. Finding Ishmael was an astounding turning point in my life; if in my mind only. It's taken another 10 years to finally reach a level of fear, frustration, and intellectual loneliness (for lack of the right words) to take this step. I need to seek out like-minded people.

Any other personal information/resources/advice/ideas to share?

I'm a divorced mom, with three daughters. I've been a manager, TQM teacher, training specialist, so-called systems thinker - but I totally burnt out on the corporate america thing (literally suffered nervious breakdown, rely on Paxil to keep the panic attacks at bay). I now earn a living as a simple administrative assistant for a environmental engineering consultant firm in Phoenix, AZ. I've studied archaeology and geology, helped a friend excavate a Hohokom man (she's a contract archaeologist) and plan to continue in that direction, perhaps as a museum tour speaker? Possibilities are endless..., I'm especially interested in southwestern native american cultures past/present (future?).
