RITA NOT ROUTING QUINNS!
After much head-scratching and soul-searching, we finally sought the advice of counsel–not just any counsel, but a longtime friend, advisor, and attorney. Also a longtime and experienced resident of Houston. He advised us to put in lots of water, canned food, and sit tight. Having lived through five hurricanes in Houston, he knew the greatest danger was in the flood surge, which will probably flood the southeast area of the city but will not reach us at an elevation of fifty feet. (And of course he's staying as well.)
We may get some water on the ground floor of our townhouse, but this nuisance will occur whether we're here or elsewhere.
To make everything more jolly, Daniel's hard drive crashed yesterday when he went to back up some files, so he'll not be receiving or answering email or questions submitted at the Q&A page for a week or two. And there will be no communication from NTV customer service, though the website is open. Any orders or emails received during this time will be dealt with when we regroup.
