All film, theatrical, and audio rights to Ishmael were ceded to Turner Publishing when I became the winner of the Turner Tomorrow competition. Turner Publishing was later sold to the Time Warner corporation along with other Ted Turner properties. The film, theatrical, and audio rights to Ishmael then belonged (and still belong) to Time Warner.

The film rights were leased to Touchstone pictures for the making of the film Instinct, after which they reverted to Time Warner. Numerous people (including myself) have attempted to buy, lease, or option one or more of these rights since then, but no one has succeeded in finding anyone at Time Warner willing to discuss the matter. I have no further information or suggestions to make about it.

The film, theatrical, and audio rights to all my other books belong to me and are available.

NOTE: Time Warner is now  WarnerMedia.–2020

Since Daniel’s death all these rights to books other than Ishmael now belong to me, and I can be reached via the website contact page.
